Putting £s back into tennis

Control Costs is the latest preferred business supplier to be appointed by the TIA UK and will work with TIA UK member businesses to boost their profitability and bottom line performance.

Control Costs is an independent operational expenses consultancy, specialising in saving businesses money and operates under the banner ‘working on behalf of hard-pressed business owners’.

Founder Michael Beveridge, who runs the business in partnership with Donna Gowing, says “our business model is based upon identifying business cost savings. We put our clients and their bottom line first. Such an approach demands that we are honest and transparent. We provide a free service. Our audits are completed free of charge and our savings are supplier side funded”.

Tennis clubs will also be offered Control Costs services via the TIA UKs ‘ADvantage’ – a discounted tennis equipment and resource guide – which is promoted by the LTA as a  benefit of being an LTA Registered Club.

Bromley Tennis Centre and Surbiton Racket and Fitness Club have already benefitted from Control Cost’s services where significant operational savings have been identified. Steve Matthews of Bromley Tennis Centre said that “Control Costs has been able to identify potential annual savings to the Centre of between 20% and 30% in a range of key operational areas”.

Areas of Control Costs expertise include power and water costs, telecoms and broadband, insurance, business rates, capital allowances and legislation compliance audits. It also provides advice on cleaning/hygiene, office stationery and food supplies.
