Tennis industry goes to SALTEX

The TIA UK will be exhibiting this year at SALTEX, the sports and amenities landscaping trade exhibition, managed by the Institute of Groundsmanship. The event takes place at the NEC Birmingham on November 1st and 2nd.

Around 300 exhibitors are at SALTEX and the event attracts around 8,500 visitors with a high percentage having purchasing authority for a vast range of landscaping and maintenance equipment and services. New products and innovation takes front of stage at this year’s event.

The IOG Industry Awards are also presented at an IOG dinner during SALTEX. Recent ‘tennis’ award winners include the hard working grounds teams at Edgbaston Priory, Devonshire Park, The Queen’s Club and The All England Club.

“Given that tennis as a sport needs to create a far better ‘experience’ to attract new players, improvements to the environment for tennis, not just to the playing facilities, is increasingly important” said Phil Sandilands of the TIA UK. “By being at SALTEX, we will have the opportunity to highlight the potential opportunities that will emerge from the LTA’s new Transforming British Tennis Together funding programme and also advise on improvements to the tennis infrastructure to those that may welcome such advice”.

SALTEX is free to attend and you can register on the day. The TIA UK looks forward to greeting you there on stand E185.
